Silmyarin is a kind of flavonoid lignans extracted from the seed coat of Silymarin, a medicinal plant of Compositae. The main active ingredients are Silybin, Isosilybin, Silychristin and Silydianin and other four isomers, in which Silychristin content is 50%-70% nature: light yellow powder. No odor, taste slightly bitter, wet sex. Soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, methanol, ethanol, slightly soluble in chloroform, almost insoluble in water. Monohydrate (methanol-water), MP.180℃; Anhydrous matter, MP.158℃ (decomposition at 180℃).
